Job Description:
The International Student Services and Graduate Student Services Coordinator is  
Responsible for the coordination and administration of all actives related to all international  
Students and for coordinating actives related to Graduate student orientation and the  
Development of program and activities and workshops to support the retention of students  
in both cohorts.  
 
 
Description of duties:  
Serve as the College Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) to manage international students' in the Student Exchange Visitor Immigration (SEVIS) database.  
Monitor to interface between the College student database and SEVIS to ensure complete compliance with Federal and ICE/SEVIS regulations and policies.  
Advise international students on all immigration matters pertinent to continuing registration, OPT, CPT and Change of Status processing.  
Communicate with all relevant departments on issues related to SEVIS and ICE.  
Develop and coordinate orientation programs and other workshops for all International and Graduate students.  
Maintain International Student records and prepare reports as necessary.  
Work with the Associate Dean of Students on a comprehensive plan for the retention of International and Graduate students.  
Teach one section of LEAD 101, the first course in the Maritime College leadership program  
Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required  
Working knowledge of Immigration policies and procedures related to student visas  
One year working knowledge of SEVIS and international student services  
Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills  
Ability to work independently  
Occasional evening or weekend work required.  
Positive and energetic attitude, self-motivated.  
Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.  
Excellent oral and written communication skills  
Desire to work in a student-oriented environment  
Microsoft skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Special Notes: This is a full time calendar year appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
